Most problems facing us today are the direct result of misunderstanding. Education is the most powerful solution. Through instructive and educational programs, and classes, especially focused on our youth, we can create a better level of understanding and as a result, a better level of caring.
Spay & Neuter Programs
The best way to solve the pet over population issue is to educate and aggressively enforce a comprehensive spay and neuter program.
Training
It is widely recognized that one of the key causes behind people surrendering a pet is because of "behavioural problems". Through the promotion of pet training techniques that positively reinforce good pet citizenship, we can create happier pet owners, happier pets and loving memories.
Fundraising & Support Programs
The P.A.W.S. Foundation is a non-profit organization sponsored by Petcetera. Throughout the years, P.A.W.S. will conduct various fundraising and charity events to raise funds for the non profit organizations in Canada. The gift of a donation to one of our in-store donation boxes is always welcome, with every penny going toward the care of local animals.
P.A.W.S. Adoption Centres
Petcetera has created a unique haven inside each one of our stores where we can host companion animals from that community's local non profit organizations. These animals have been given a clean bill of health, and now they need only two things: a good home, and tender loving care. Can you provide a happy home? The fees charged at Petcetera are the same as at your local non profit organization. Adoption fees may in full Veterinary examination within 3 business days of adoption, spayed/neutered or certificate, first set of vaccinations, initial deworming and/or flea treatment and microchip (implanted & registered).
